Responsible Business Conduct

Our Commitment

The increasingly prevalent issue of forced labour and their link to abuses of human rights has prompted the development of this statement with the aim of further positive action across our company.

Forced labour is a global crime resulting in an abhorrent abuse of dignity and human rights which disproportionately affects women and children. This statement is aimed towards all persons involved in our supply chain. As a company engaged in the procurement and sale of goods, Paptex Textilhandels GmbH/Mary Rose GmbH/Studio Handels GmbH believe it is our responsibility to ensure that all our products are free from child or forced labour.

  • Paptex* has a zero tolerance on forced labour including child labour, unacceptably hazardous work, physical punishment, abuse, or involuntary servitude of any worker in its global operations and facilities.
  • Paptex will take a number of proactive steps of ensuring that these practices do not exist at any level of our company through regular monitoring and compliance and staff briefing.
  • Paptex’s business partners will not engage in activities and/or be involved with entities that violate human rights. If any violation of these principles becomes known to Paptex and is not corrected, it will result in the discontinuing of the business relationship.

This statement reflects the need to make an active contribution to a global issue and give a voice to those persons and populations affected. The victims of forced labour should be recognized at local, national and international levels.

*As producer Paptex acts also on behalf of Mary Rose GmbH & Studio Handels GmbH.
